Meet Our Staff

ADMINISTRATIVE STAFF

  1. Rebecca Sweety Dean, OT • CEO
Rebecca “Sweety” Dean has a degree in Occupational Therapy from Kean University. Her passion of working with children has led in her into a successful business, where she gets to play all day while making a difference. She spent the first years working in schools while also working with adults in acute care, orthopedics, inpatient and outpatient rehab, nursing homes, and assisted living. She gained plenty of experience as an OT in public and private schools, as well as private therapy centers.

She found joy working with children with Cerebral Palsy, Down Syndrome, Apraxia and Autism Spectrum Disorder. She believes in a holistic approach and realized that alternative methods combined with traditional therapy allowed children acquire skills and retain them.

Rebecca has several certifications & training in different therapy treatment approaches including Sensory Integration & Praxis Test (SIPT). She is also a “Yoga for the Special Child” Certified Instructor and has developed a yoga program for preschool & elementary children with special needs.

In 2006, Rebecca opened her own private practice with business partner Marwa. Together they brought TTT into 3 outpatient locations becoming a leading provider for school-based therapy with an emphasis in quality of service and suitable matching of therapists, servicing several school districts in New Jersey.

In 2011, following TTT’s success, Rebecca and Marwa opened up Total Therapeutic Touch, a convenient, hands-on adult rehabilitation center.

In 2012, Rebecca launched Therapy Nook, a third party distributor e-commerce site, showcasing affordable therapist-tested products to parents, therapists, teachers, and schools. She also developed a partnership with Fun Factory Sensory Gym, manufacturing custom design and installation of therapy sensory gyms & products.

She credits her core team and team of dedicated therapists, parents and children who have brought her vision to fruition and is grateful every day. She considers the most enjoyable time working everyday in TTT and spending time with her two beautiful daughters, who inspire her everyday to “not stop dreaming, keep playing and bringing your vision into reality”.

  4. Maria Compton • Executive Administrative Director
Maria was born and raised in Brooklyn, NY, one of seven children.  She married her husband, Robert and moved to New Jersey 24 years ago. Her love of children was the reason for her career change from the Financial Trading industry, after she became pregnant with her son, Christopher, who is now 18 years old.  Maria met the owners of Tiny Tots Therapy almost five years ago when she was working as a fitness instructor specializing in pediatrics at a children’s gym.  Not long after, Maria was asked to join the Tiny Tots team in their Scotch Plains clinic.  Maria loves witnessing first hand each child’s progress and enjoys interacting with clients on a daily basis.
